Purpose of the Programme
The primary purpose of the Workplace Essential Skills Programme is to:

Entry Requirements
The Workplace Essential Skills Programme has accessible entry requirements:
- Minimum NQF Level 1
- Suitable for both employed and unemployed learners
- No prior workplace experience required
Assessment Approach
Assessment is conducted through an integrated approach which includes:
- Continuous formative assessment
- Practical assessments covering workplace responsibilities, ethics and safety
- Written assessments assessing workplace knowledge and understanding
- Supervised workplace assessments, including teamwork and task performance
Certification
Learners who successfully complete the Workplace Essential Skills Programme will receive a QCTO Skills Programme Certificate of Completion, recognised nationally.
